This is real world! I'm using my M1 MacBook Pro everyday for many hours a day and I can tell you it has been thoroughly tested, tried, and found to be true to task. This has been my experience and this is not from someones review or article. Since Big Sur 11.2.3 Logic Pro can handle many of the third party plugins while still running in (Native Mode) not Rosetta 2 even thought other apps are still using Rosetta. I mostly use Logic Pro so I'm just about there. Most do by now but when the developer catch up it's going to be even better. You just have to choose the plugins that work best in Rosetta 2. As it stand right now my M1 MacBook Pro is even now more stable then my older Intel Mac with the same plugins and DAW's. If you dont want to mess around with third-party software. The other nice thing is the batteries last a lot longer. Not even close! They are also very quiet compared to the old Intel Macs which is a big plus for audio recording. I should know, I had the last Mid 2020 Intel MacBook Pro and it is night and day. The reason many are jumping in even though most audio apps are running with an emulation is because the new M1 Mac's with Rosetta 2 running in the background still out performs the older Intel Mac by far. The key is to do all the research you can on M1 Macs before jumping in. I have been using it since its release and it is now working pretty much flawlessly. This is and old thread and things have changed quite abit since then but let me say this: I have an M1 MacBook Pro with 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD.
